Edson Alvarez Transfer Collapsing?

Since the summer transfer rumors started there have been hundreds of rumors, yet only one rumor seems to be sticking and that's Edson Alvarez to Dortmund.

From tens of sources and so many reports it's hard to find out what's really happening but it seems according to BILD that Dortmund is not amused by how long the Edson Alvarez transfer is taking.

Bild take it a step farther by stating internally Dortmund are questioning the price of Edson Alvarez, Ajax want over €45m as well as add ons for Alvarez where as Dortmund wish only to pay €33m and add ons for Alvarez. A reported €70m could be the total fee including wages on a 3 year contract for Alvarez which Dortmund are not wanting to pay, and with Emre Can extending it begs the question, why bring in Edson Alvarez and is he really €60m better than Emre Can?

The price may not even be settled at this ridiculous price as West Ham could yet again join the bidding, it was reported they were priced out of the Edson Alvarez sweepstakes a week ago when it was assumed the deal was soon to be completed, but now that Arsenal will be receiving over €105m for Declan Rice it may open the door for them to rejoin the chase for Alvarez.

At the end of the day, us fans are left wondering the same thing as the Dortmund board, what will happen next and is Alvarez worth all the money with the other gaps in the team?
