Following a slow start to the season, Borussia Dortmund find themselves 10th in the table. However poor form from other clubs has opened the discussion to a top 4 finish again.
BVB 7 points off 3rd
As it stands, Dortmund are only 7 points off of 3rd placed Frankfurt after they lost today 4-1 to Leverkusen.
Freiburg play tomorrow away against Augsburg, should Freiburg drop points with a draw or loss, Dortmund would be just 6 points off 4th placed Mainz, but with a win the gap increases slightly to being 7 points behind Freiburg.
Top 4 is in Dortmund's hands
Despite being 10th in the table, Dortmund has the opportunity to play 5 of the 6 clubs ahead of them in European spots.

Augsburg (H) - 1-4 pts ahead depending on result against Freiburg
Lille (A) - UCL R16
Leipzig (A) - 3 pts behind (6th)

Freiburg (A) - 4 pts behind (5th as of 1/3/24)
