Dortmund found themselves victorious in their first game of the preseason winning 7-0, with a slow goal scoring start the deadlock was broken by former captain (it hurts saying that) Marco Reus off of a stunning goal which was assisted by Thorgan Hazard in the 12th minute
Following that who else but Marco Reus would score the second with another world class goal from outside the box which dipped into the back of the net in the 24th minute, the half ended with Reus laying it off to Rijkhoff in the box who finished with no problems making it 3-0 in the 43rd
The second half saw many subs but none more notable than the return of Mateu Morey who after a devastating injury in the Holstein Kiel Pokal game in 2021 is back, he had an average performance in his first game back, but among the subs was Paul Besong who grabbed himself a brace and an assist at the end of the game when regaining possession and passing it through to Prince Aning to get the final goal of an incredible in the 87th minute
Duranville also had a very good performance securing an assist and looking very explosive and agile throughout the game
